Perhaps the most common question we receive at America Translating Services is: What is the difference between translating and interpreting?  For those who are still wondering, translating involves converting a written text into another language, while interpreting involves facilitating oral communications between people of different languages.

Many agencies will service one of the two fields, but rarely do they provide both translating and interpreting.  At ATS, we have managed to do both, and do them successfully.  This is due to the business of language.  While we handle both areas, we make sure to give each area our full and complete attention.  We have found that an office with a distinct translation division and a distinct interpreting division has worked wonderfully because our employees can give their full and undivided attention to their division.  This has also allowed us to find the very best people to do each and every job.

For translations, we only use professional translators, and for interpreting, we use only professional interpreters.

If you are in need of either of these services, don’t hesitate to give us a call.  We will be happy to let you know how we can meet your language needs.

America Translating Services is a full service translating and interpreting business. We have been in business since 1984 and are certified by the American Translator’s Association (ATA).
